Happy

Early morning light, coming through my bedroom window:

This Tulip Tree in our neighborhood, even though it causes me to break the eleventh commandment, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s foliage:

I don’t think this needs an explanation:

Nature walks, and the feast for the eyes the Lord provides us with daily if we only have eyes to see:

And lastly, I don’t have a picture for it, but can I just be corny and say YOU? Yeah, you, the one reading this right now. Whether you comment or not, the fact that you come, and read, and stick around to hear what I have to say next gives me more joy than I ever thought possible. You make me happy. I thank the Lord for you!

What a great post. I needed it this morning, as the snow falls outside, re-covering our large snow piles.

Eternal spring is in my heart.

Happy.

Good morning!
How sweet, thank you ! It makes me happy to read your blog. I am blessed by your encouraging words and your love for our Lord.
Blessings to you!

Thanks for the “Happy”! And somehow I’ve gotten behind reading your baby stories - can’t imagine where I’ve been!
There are bathrooms to clean and laundry to fold and dishes to do and kids to dress and here I sit! Thanks for sharing your birth stories - it really does amaze me how much you remember!
Happy Friday!

A lovely happy post. You make me smile too.

You make me happy, too.

Hi Jenni!

What a beautiful tree (and great snapshots of it)- can see why you’d be drawn to it, serious eye candy!

You know, I’m a new reader here and I’ve said it before, but I just LOVE your blog. I’m sure it’s difficult at times to come up with such loveliness, and I appreciate your dedication. You’re a fantastic writer and you have an amazing capacity for observing life and God in the midst of it.

beautiful photos - I love the angle on the first one!

Those are some gorgeous pictures. Thanks for making my morning!

That tulip tree is beautiful..I’d be coveting it too!
I love your happy posts, and have been considering stealing the idea. Such a great thing to sit and count our blessings!
Happy weekend to you!

Thanks for giving me reasons to be happy. Is it okay if I covet the tree, too?

How beautiful! My kiddos and I were just praising God this morning for our beautiful cherry trees in full bloom! It only takes a moment to look around and see His gifts to us and then another one to say Thank You Father!
I Love your blog~~it blesses me here in Alabama!
Many Smiles :)

Aw, shucks. I won’t tell the other readers that you were talking to me.

And even though it’s not good to commiserate, I’m glad I’m not the only sinner who has broken the 11th commandment. Springtime is a hard time to keep that one…

Lawsey Mercy! If there was a tree like that within my field of vision, it is quite possible I would do nothing but sit and stare at it all day.

Well, except for the time when I went to Starbucks to buy that pink drink, but then I would come right back and stare some more.

I’m breaking the 12th commandment “Thou shalt not covet thy nieghbor’s Starbucks” as I sit here drinking my twice reheated cup of coffee 8-)! Thanks, Jenni, for your encouragement to all of us moms who are a few years (and a few kids) behind you!

I also covet your neighbor’s tree. Would your neighbor object to finding us all in their yard drinking Starbucks and admiring the tree?

Yum. Starbucks strawberry frap. Mmmmmmmm.

I, too, covet the tulip tree, my sister in sin.

Since stumbling upon your blog a few weeks ago, I’ve been a regular reader. Your attitude on life is uplifting and refreshing, and I’ll admit to some curiosity about your large family. Part of me is fascinated, part of me in envious (don’t tell my husband). Whatever the reason, I’m here.

Beautiful photos today! Thanks for sharing!

I enjoy your perspective through pictures. It reminds me to enjoy the beauty all around. That includes my online friends I’ve found in the blogging community.

Love the figurine! Love the tree! Love the Starbucks! Love the fungus! LOVE the BLOG!!!

God Bless!

And I thank the Lord for you-so willing to share your perspective with all of us. I agree with Kate-part of me is envious of all of the baby-love you’ve got goin’ on. My husband would have a heart attack if he heard me say that! We had a tulip tree in the yard of our old house-I miss it!

Aaaah. Willow Tree, tulip tree, Starbucks and fungi, er, nature… It just doesn’t get much better than that! Happy to be a reader of your blog.

Hmm…that Starbucks looks remarkably like the flowers on the tree?! :) And is that a Tulip Tree or a magnolia? I’ve only ever seen a Tulip Tree bloom with leaves on it, with yellow blooms. Very pretty!

is that a strawberry cream frappuchino? i still have not tried one of those. mom brought me my soy chai this morning. it pretty much saved my life!

annnnd that is one gorgeous tree! you know how i am about photos of nature. *swooooon*

Yeah I am the YOU you just mentioned I have just put off raising my voice. I have enjoyed reading the last month or so. I knew I would love it when I saw Isak D as a quote= she is my very favorite. I have alot of change going on right now and it is good to come here and hear about God in your life. Good luck with #12.

I love the light behind the first picture… beautifully inspiring all on it’s own! Thanks for the warm fuzzy feelings this morning too - those are always nice.
(((big hugs))) thinking about you daily as you head into the final leg of the marathon of pregnancy and birth; I know you’ll finish with great results just as you have with the others!!!

That actually made my eyes sting with happy tears. Thank you. The whole post was a boost that I really needed today.

You know, that looks like a magnolia to me. And it is just the right time for them to bloom. The tulip tree flowers after the leaves come out.

Glad to make someone happy!

How can anything pink taste bad? Especially with whipped cream.

Fun happy stuff.

I have been reading your blog for about six months now and just absolutely adore you and your family.

Congrats on the new baby!

You are 14 kinds of sweet!

Hmmm…it would seem that the confusion lies in the fact that the tulip tree is part of the magnolia family. We have a regular magnolia in our yard that blooms quite a bit later, and keeps its leaves all year. This tree loses its leaves and blooms early in those gorgeous pink flowers and then comes out with the leaves. We call them tulip trees around here…your results may vary…

;o)
Jenni

We call them tulip trees down here in Indiana too. I had a beautiful one right outside my window when I was growing up. BTW, I am loving reading your birth stories :)

I echo everything Amanda said. I’m relatively new to your blog, too, but it’s a true treasure, as are you! Thanks for sharing your stories!

You, my friend, make me happy, too. :)

Ah, the tree! Pink!
And the white feathers still fall here.
But the sun is determined and winter’s skirts grow thin, patches of grass showing through here and there.

Happy with you! For you! For Him! For now!
Nope. Can’t stop writing out His gifts. With you, Jenni–let’s raise the roof with praise!

All’s grace,
Ann

I love the statue in the first photo. I’ve never seen it before. How lovely!

Lovely! And what beautiful photos!
