Par-tay, part 2

Well, shewt, folks! How’s a body supposed to have a proper pity party when so many nice people like you show up and turn it into a downright celebration by the end?

The rain is still coming down, but I made some cherry-and-dark-chocolate cookies, a little fruit salad, and watched Singing In The Rain, which helped tremendously.

If anyone can remain in a funk after watching Donald O’Connor perform “Make ‘em Laugh” they are made of more determined funkiness than I. For those who are needing a pick-me-up today, here’s my remedy:

My favorite part is the noise O’Connor’s face makes as it “hits” the board. I’m just mature that way.

So, my friends, I’m off to make some dinner, and although I’d still like to ignore the world and crawl under the covers for about 23 more days, I must say y’all are great company. MWAH MWAH and MWAH to all of you.

Haven’t seen that in a long time! Physical comedy at its best.

I just wrote a similar post over on my blog, and thought I was the only one! Then I come over here and find you throwing a pity party too. Of course for entirely different reasons, but a pity party nonetheless!
Thanks for the invite– I was totally prepared to go it alone!

Thank you so much for posting that clip - I’ve apparently never seen “Singin’ in the Rain,” and I’ll have to remedy that.

My almost-18-month-old girlie watched the video with me, and she really enjoyed it, alternately saying, “Ow!” and “Wow!”

Jenni, I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better.

More (((( hugs )))) to you, sweetie.

Thank you, my dear friend. I needed that! (And shockingly, apparently I too have never seen that film!)

Hope the next 23 or so days go quickly and as comfortably as could be expected. :o)
